Why do we need central finance?

• Customers with large distributed system landscape lack full insight into the entire company.
• There is usually no trustworthy consolidated source of truth that provides insights with a harmonized view.
• Often the process is to load financial data from distributed systems into various data warehouses.
• In order to load the data to the data warehouse, long batch jobs must be scheduled regularly to extract data, to transform the data, and to load data into the data warehouse.

This typically does not happen in real-time, but rather once a day, week, or even month. The consolidated data available in the data warehouse that is used for analysis and to make business decisions is never up-to-date
